YEAR-ROUND INTERNSHIP PROGRAMSThe Australian Ministry Internship Program is for individuals seeking to rise above their own limits and discover a new potential in ministry. It will challenge you to reach a dynamic level of ministry you never knew existed.
Our Investment in You:Mentoring & Coaching Internship is an integral part of preparation for ministry. It provides the intern with an extended, in–depth practice of ministry for the purpose of integrating classroom input with field experience. In addition, Australian Ministry Internship Program seeks to provide interns with a working relationship with another person in ministry, rather than just a place to carry out practical Christian service. We hope to expose the intern to all forms and facets of ministry but our primary focus in this experience is on the intern as a disciple in development and on the pastor–mentor as a teacher–leader. Interns will be mentored by the Director of Internships for the Apostolic Churches and the Pastor of the host Church of the Intern. Beyond orientation, the intern will receive ongoing instruction in Monthly Training program, in areas of preaching, multi-media, personal evangelism, planning of events and team building …
What will the Intern do?Under the supervision of the Director of Internship and the church pastor the interns experience may include: youth and children’s ministry, preaching, leading worship services, church administration, evangelism, multi-media and revitalising and pioneering churches. An intern will work five (5) days a week in a church setting from Wednesday to Sunday inclusive, in accordance with the agreement with the local church the Director of Internship, and the intern.
What is the length of time of the Internship Program?Internships can be entered into for periods of 3, 6 or 9 months.
The Queensland-Australian experience – a part of internship.Interns will be given Monday and Tuesday to explore our beautiful state. Ministry internships may then cover the following areas: ministry, performing arts, youth, business administration and community care. All areas of study must contain biblical and theological units.
How Interns are chosen?Interns will submit an application form to the Director of Internships. Once the intern has been matched to the church the intern then will be contacted by the Director and put in touch with the host church.
